Our mission
Every year, millions of Nigerian students sit for exams that shape the rest of their lives — often without access to good practice material. We built 9ja Past Questions so that any student with a phone can work through thousands of genuine past questions, understand every answer, and walk into the exam hall confident.

Where our content comes from
The questions
Every question on this site is a real past-paper question from a Nigerian examination board — WAEC, JAMB/UTME, NECO, GCE or a Post-UTME paper. Those questions belong to the boards that set them. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any examination board, and we do not claim ownership of their questions.
The explanations are ours
A past question on its own teaches very little. The part we actually make is the explanation attached to each one: why the correct option is correct, why the tempting wrong options are wrong, and which idea the examiner was testing. These are written and reviewed by our team, not copied from anywhere, and they are free to read without an account.
How papers get onto the site
- A paper is transcribed question by question, including diagrams and tables.
- Answers are checked against the paper's marking scheme where one is available.
- An explanation is written for each question and reviewed before it goes live.
- A member of staff explicitly publishes the paper. Nothing appears on the public site automatically.
When we get it wrong
Transcription errors happen, and occasionally an explanation is unclear or simply wrong. Every question carries a report link. Reports go into a queue a person actually reads, and corrections are made to the underlying paper so every student sees the fix. If you think something is wrong, please tell us — it is the fastest way the content improves.
What we will not do
We do not publish leaked or “expo” material, and we never claim to have questions for an exam that has not yet been sat. Anyone offering you those is selling you a lie. Past questions work because examiners reuse ideas — not because anyone has tomorrow's paper.
