2(a) A car travels at a distance of 60km. Construct a table of value for speed and time. Given that the time for the journey vary as: 1 1/2 hrs, 2 hrs, 2 1/2 hrs and 3 hrs.

Speed = distance ÷ time = 60 ÷ time Time (hrs) | 1 1/2 | 2 | 2 1/2 | 3 Speed (km/h) | 60 ÷ 1.5 = 40 | 60 ÷ 2 = 30 | 60 ÷ 2.5 = 24 | 60 ÷ 3 = 20 Speed varies inversely as time (speed × time = 60).
