During the manufacture of food by plants, which of the following organisms use energy from the sun?

  • A. Nitrosomonas sp
  • B. Nitrobacter sp
  • C. AnabaenaCorrect
  • D. Sulfur bacteria

Explanation

Photosynthetic organisms make use of sunlight energy while chemosynthetic organisms do not. Chemosynthetic organisms produce energy from chemical reactions — sulphur bacteria, Nitrosomonas spp. and Nitrobacter spp. are chemosynthetic. Anabaena is a blue-green algae which uses sunlight energy since it is a photoautotroph.
