3. The government intends to improve the economy by encouraging entrepreneurship. State five ways entrepreneurship would contribute to achieving the intention of the government.
Model answer
Contribution of entrepreneurship in improving the economy: (i) They provide employment opportunity for the citizens. (ii) They reduce over-dependence on foreign goods which reduces foreign reserve pressure. (iii) They contribute to gross domestic product (GDP) through their consumption/production. (iv) They will improve government revenue through payment of taxes. (v) They reduce poverty level through job opportunities provided.
