If the oxidation potential of Mg and Al are +2.37 volts and +1.66 volts respectively, then Mg would not

  • A. replace Al
  • B. be replaced by AlCorrect

Explanation

Since Mg has a higher (more positive) oxidation potential than Al, Mg is more reactive and will displace Al from solution; therefore Mg would NOT be replaced by Al.
