Primary production pre-dominates in developing countries because of: (i) shortage of capital, (ii) illiteracy, (iii) low capital accumulation, (iv) low or poor performance of the industrial sector to absorb workers, (v) low technology, (vi) inadequate capital to acquire equipment for manufacturing, (vii) poor infrastructural facilities (any two).
