Explanation

The non-alignment policy of the West Africa countries during the Second World War was practised by the non-aligned states. The non-alignment policy encouraged countries to be neutral in the face of the ideological rivalries between the defunct USSR as the leader of the socialist eastern bloc and the USA as the leader of the capitalist western bloc.
