Explanation
Evil thought may come but the there is virtue in keep them out. As evident in the last sentence of the second paragraph of the passage – 'vain thought will knock at the door, but we must not open to them'. We can infer from the passage that evil thoughts arise and appear in our hearts, but we must work very hard and vigilantly to keep them out and not allow them to reign because they always leave a trail behind.
