Find the gradient of a line which is perpendicular to the line with the equation 3x+2y+1=0
- A. 3/2
- B. 2/3Correct
- C. -2/3
- D. -3/2
Explanation
3x+2y+1=0. 2y=-1-3x-1. y=-3x/2-1/2. Gradient m1=-3/2. Since the new line is perpendicular to it, m2=-1/m1=2/3.
