(a) Word processing is the creation, editing, formatting and printing of text-based documents using computer software (e.g. Microsoft Word, WordPad, WordPerfect). OR: It is the manipulation of text, documents and formatting to produce a professional-looking document. (b) (i) Watermark: a faint, semi-transparent image or text appearing behind the main content of a document, often used for copyright, branding or reflecting document status. (ii) Thesaurus: a tool in word processors that provides synonyms and antonyms for selected words. (iii) Drop cap: a large initial letter that extends down two or more lines of body text at the beginning of a paragraph/selection. (iv) Find and Replace: a feature that allows the user to search for specific words or phrases within a document and optionally replace them with other word(s) or phrase(s).
