Explanation

Sum of roots = -1/2+2/3=1/6. Product of roots = (-1/2)(2/3)=-1/3. Equation: x^2-(sum)x+(product)=0 → x^2-x/6-1/3=0. Multiplying through by 6: 6x^2-x-2=0.
