Reasons why high incidence of cultism constitutes a national problem: (i) The incidence of cultism has led to the untimely birth of several cult member staff lectures and innocent students. (ii) Many cultist or cult members have been expelled, thereby terminating their educational career and rendering them useless to the society. (iii) High incidence of cultism also breeds violence and terror which in turns lead to social unrest in the society.
